ITS SPLENDOUR
We tend to our vineyard in a nature-friendly way. We mulch and hand-mow around the vines, we do not use herbicides or insecticides, we nurture the harmony of nature, and we enjoy the singing of the birds and the sight of the thyme bushes among the vines.
Our vines draw strength from the soil, and the vineyard and grapes benefit from its exceptionally sunny position, being the highest of the vineyards in Vipava.
Vineyard Profile – Grace:
Located on the southern slopes of Čaven above the village of Kamnje (25° incline) • 310–370 above sea level • Soil: Flysch, brown forest soil, moraine deposits • 1.2 ha (3 acres) • 8,800 vines • Varieties: Rebula and red varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera) • Training system: three-arm goblet • Yield: up to 1 kg of grapes per vine (approximately one bottle of wine per vine)
